Traditionally, our exhibitions are complemented by a diverse accompanying programme – this also applies to the exhibition "War - decoding its archaeological traces":

The popular lecture series covers the different themes of the exhibition and offers the chance to acquire current science mediated live by experts. Also for families and children there is a range of possibilities: family afternoon or winter holiday workshop have become an established tradition and offer a wide range of topics.

The choice of offers for adults this time includes very special and extraordinary events: this ranges from a concert evening to anthropology workshop to camp life on the eve of battle.

This time our programme of guided tours will be supplemented by special tours by the curators Michael Schefzik and Anja Grothe.

As every year we expect many visitors at the Long Night of Museums and at our special event, the "Living History", where the State Museum is transformed into a mercenary camp.

You can find events for schools and children's institutions HERE.

All event offers are also open to people with disabilities. These events will be adapted to the individual needs and capabilities of our visitors. We are a barrier-free museum.
